Alright, so check this out! Teacher’s Day was coming up, and I was like, “Oh crap, gotta do something!” Store-bought cards are boring, and I’m kinda broke, so DIY was the way to go. Here’s how I made some super easy and quick Teacher’s Day cards.

First thing’s first: gather supplies! I rummaged around the house and found:
- Some cardstock (plain white, nothing fancy)
- Construction paper (the brighter, the better!)
- Scissors (duh!)
- Glue sticks (the kind that dries clear)
- Markers and colored pencils (for drawing and writing)
- Some random ribbons and buttons I found in a drawer (totally optional, but adds a nice touch)
Okay, got my stuff together. Time to start cutting! I folded the cardstock in half to make the base of the cards. Then, I started cutting out shapes from the construction paper: hearts, stars, flowers, whatever I felt like. Don’t overthink it – just have fun!
Next up: glue! I glued the construction paper shapes onto the front of the cardstock. I didn’t go for anything perfect, just kinda slapped them on there. Layering them looks cool, too.
Then I got my markers out and started writing. Something simple like “Happy Teacher’s Day!” or “Thank you for being a great teacher!” works just fine. I added some doodles and squiggles to make it a little more personal. This part is important, write from the heart!
Now, for the fancy stuff! I glued on a few of the ribbons and buttons I found. This part is totally optional, but it does make the cards look a little more special. If you don’t have any ribbons or buttons, you could use glitter, stickers, or even just draw some extra designs with your markers.

And that’s it! Seriously, each card took like 10 minutes to make. They’re not perfect, but they’re handmade with love, and that’s what matters, right?
Pro-Tip: Get the kids involved! If you have little ones, let them help with the cutting, gluing, and decorating. It’s a fun activity, and it makes the cards even more meaningful.
Another Pro-Tip: Don’t be afraid to get creative! There are no rules when it comes to DIY cards. Use whatever materials you have on hand and let your imagination run wild.
So yeah, that’s how I made some easy and quick Teacher’s Day cards. Cheap, cheerful, and way more personal than anything you could buy in a store. Give it a try!
