Okay, so I decided to throw a little get-together with some friends I hadn’t seen in ages. Catching up was long overdue, you know? And what’s a party without some good grub, right? I was thinking about what to serve, and since I’m not exactly a master chef, I figured prepared party food would be the easiest way to go.
So I swung by Sainsbury’s ’cause I heard they had a decent selection. First thing I did was look around for their ready meals for kids. I figured it’s a good choice and less time to prepare. They had this classic spaghetti Bolognese that looked pretty good.
I browsed through their party food section, and let me tell you, it was pretty extensive. There are a lot of choices! From classic sandwich to festive food. I saw these cute little penguin bao buns, and I knew I had to get them. They were just too adorable to pass up!
Then, I grabbed some of those party sandwich platters. They had these medium mature Cheddar cheese on white bread and oak smoked formed ham on white bread. That’s 8 quarters of each, so enough to go around.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I ended up getting:

Plus, having all that food ready-made meant I could actually enjoy the party and chat with my friends instead of being stuck in the kitchen all night.
All in all, I’d say it was a success. Sainsbury’s party food definitely saved the day. It was convenient, tasty, and there was something for everyone.
