Okay, so yesterday I was craving something warm and comforting, but I didn’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. I remembered this super quick and easy biscuit recipe, and let me tell you, it was a lifesaver!

Getting Started
First, I grabbed my mixing bowl – a big one, because who wants to skimp on biscuits? Then I preheated my oven to 450°F (232°C). Gotta get that oven nice and hot!
Mixing the Ingredients
Next, I dumped in:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons of baking powder (that’s the key to fluffy biscuits!)
- 1 teaspoon of sugar (just a touch for sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
I whisked all the dry ingredients together until they were good and combined.
Then, I added in 1/3 cup of shortening, I used my fingers to crumble and mix, and make it looks like coarse crumbs.
After that, I slowly poured in 3/4 cup of milk, stirring it all together with a fork. You don’t want to overmix it – just until everything is moistened.

Baking Time!
I lightly floured my countertop and dumped the dough onto it. I gently patted it out to about 1/2 inch thick. Then, using a biscuit cutter, I cut out the biscuits and placed them on a baking sheet.
I popped the baking sheet into the oven and baked them for about 12-15 minutes, until they were golden brown and looked absolutely delicious.
The Delicious Result
And that’s it! Seriously, it was that easy. Warm, fluffy biscuits, ready in under 30 minutes. I slathered mine with butter and jam, and it was pure heaven. Definitely give this recipe a try if you’re looking for a quick and satisfying treat!
