Thirteen year old boy, they eat a lot, like little piggies. Gotta make sure there’s enough food, or they’ll be rummaging through my cabinets. I’m thinking about some easy things to make. Don’t wanna spend all day in the kitchen. These kids like tasty food, you know, not fancy stuff.

First thing first, sausage balls. That’s an easy one. Just mix some sausage, some cheese, and some Bisquick. Roll ’em up into balls and bake ’em. Kids love those. Always a big hit, those sausage balls. Easy to eat, no need for forks and knives. And they are perfect 13 year old birthday party food, you know?

Then there’s them bacon wrapped meatballs. Wrap some bacon around meatballs, stick a toothpick in ’em, and bake. Bacon makes everything better. Those little fellas will gobble those up quick, I bet. And it is a good choice for a birthday party.

  • Sausage Balls: Easy to make, always a favorite.
  • Bacon Wrapped Meatballs: Bacon makes everything better!
  • Jalapeno Poppers: For the brave ones who like it spicy.

Jalapeno poppers. Now, some of them kids like it spicy. So, cut some jalapenos in half, take out the seeds, stuff ’em with cream cheese, wrap ’em in bacon, and bake. Those are for the brave ones. My Timmy, he likes ’em spicy. Always did. But I gotta make sure to label them. Don’t want no little ones crying ’cause it’s too hot. This is a good choice for 13 year old birthday party food.

Gotta have something healthy, too. Can’t just feed ’em junk. Fruit skewers. Just cut up some fruit, like grapes, strawberries, melon, and put ’em on sticks. Kids like things on sticks. Makes it fun to eat. It is good, too. They need some vitamins in them.

Chicken wings, oh yeah, they’re a must. Kids love chicken wings. You can bake ’em, fry ’em, whatever. Just get a bunch of different sauces. BBQ, honey garlic, hot sauce. Let them dip those wings. They’ll be happy as clams. Just need a lot of napkins. Those wings get messy. Those are the best 13 year old birthday party food.

Then there are some mini quiches. Those are like little egg pies. You can put anything in them. Cheese, veggies, ham. They are fancy-looking but easy to make. Maybe I’ll make some with just cheese for the picky eaters. Every birthday party should have these.

And you can’t forget about deviled eggs. Hard-boil some eggs, cut ’em in half, scoop out the yolks, mix ’em with mayo and mustard, and put ’em back in the whites. Sprinkle some paprika on top. Classic. My momma used to make those for every party. They are so good, those little devils!

Stuffed mushrooms. Get some big mushrooms, take out the stems, chop ’em up, mix ’em with breadcrumbs and cheese, and stuff ’em back in the mushroom caps. Bake ’em until they’re soft. Those are kinda fancy, but not too hard to make. Good for a little more grown-up taste, even at a 13 year old birthday party. They are not my favorite, but some people love them.

And if you’re feeling lazy, just make some English muffin pizza snacks. Take an English muffin, put some tomato sauce on it, sprinkle some cheese, and maybe some pepperoni, and bake. Kids love pizza. It’s an easy way to make a lot of little pizzas. And these are perfect for 13 year old birthday party food, kids just love them.

For drinks, just get a bunch of soda and juice boxes. And water, gotta have water. They’ll be running around, getting thirsty. Maybe I’ll make some lemonade, too. Fresh lemonade is always good on a hot day.

  • Chicken Wings: With a variety of sauces.
  • Mini Quiches: Like little egg pies, can put anything in them.
  • Deviled Eggs: A classic, always a crowd-pleaser.
  • Stuffed Mushrooms: A little more grown-up, but still easy.
  • English Muffin Pizza Snacks: A quick and easy crowd-pleaser.

For dessert, a big ol’ cake, of course. Chocolate, I think. Timmy loves chocolate. And maybe some ice cream. Can’t have a birthday party without cake and ice cream. And some cookies, maybe. Chocolate chip. Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies.

Alright, I think that’s enough food. If those little hooligans are still hungry after all that, well, they can eat grass. Just kidding. But seriously, that should be plenty. I just hope they have a good time. That’s all that matters. This birthday party will be the best one, I am sure. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go to the store and get all this stuff. Wish me luck!
