My whole kitchen started smelling amazing – seriously, like a peanut butter factory decided to set up shop in my house, but in a really good way. Max was definitely paying attention at this point. He was sniffing around the oven door, tail going a mile a minute. He knew something good was happening.

Vanished in like two seconds flat. And then he just sat there, wagging his tail like crazy, looking up at me with those big eyes like, ‘Okay, human, that was amazing. Where’s the rest of that batch?’
Success! He absolutely loved them. I felt like a superhero. A dog-biscuit-baking superhero, if you will. It was a proud moment.
Honestly, it was so ridiculously quick and so easy, I don’t know why I didn’t start doing this ages ago. Now I can make a big batch, store them in an airtight container, and Max gets healthy, homemade treats without all that mystery stuff they put in the store-bought ones. Plus, it’s way, way cheaper in the long run. It’s a total win-win, right? So yeah, if you’re on the fence about making your own dog treats, just do it. Your dog will thank you for it.
