Alright, so today I’m gonna share how I rocked some quick and easy ponytail hairstyles. Seriously, sometimes you just gotta get your hair outta your face, ya know?
First off, the classic high pony. I started by flipping my head upside down – yeah, looked a little crazy – and brushed all my hair towards the top of my head. This gives it that nice, lifted look at the crown. Then I just gathered it all up, smoothed out any bumps (cause ain’t nobody got time for that), and secured it with a hair tie. A little hairspray to tame flyaways, and boom! Done. Took like, two minutes, tops.
Next up, the low pony with a twist – literally. This one’s good for when you wanna look a little more put-together without trying too hard. I parted my hair down the middle (you can do a side part if that’s your jam), then gathered it into a low ponytail at the nape of my neck. Before I secured it, I created a little space above the hair tie, split the hair in two, and flipped the ponytail through the hole. Sounds complicated, but it’s super easy, I swear! Just tightens it up and makes it look a bit fancier.
Then there’s the side ponytail. Okay, this is my go-to for lazy days. Just brush all your hair over to one side, either behind your ear or over your shoulder, and tie it off. I like to pull out a few strands around my face to soften the look. Super casual, super cute.
For a little extra somethin’ somethin’, I sometimes braid a small section of hair before putting it in a ponytail. Like, I’ll grab a piece from the front, braid it back, and then incorporate it into either a high or low ponytail. It adds a little texture and visual interest, and it’s still really quick to do.
And lastly, don’t forget accessories! A cute scrunchie, a ribbon, or even just wrapping a strand of hair around the hair tie can totally elevate your ponytail game. Experiment a little, see what you like!
